Social Media and Social Networking - Is the Force of Facebook Greater than Googles?Now, mid-April 2010 Wordpress has passed MySpace in popularity and LinkedIn is 29 th most popular site in the world (only 126k links in?). As we reached the middle of March 2010 the popularity of Facebook is challenging the popularity of Google. When this page was developed it hadn't included Google, now it does. Obviously there are many social networking sites that have not been included, but knowing that Foursquare is growing extremely rapidly in popularity (now .1340) it has also been added Exciting change in February 2010 Facebook replaced Yahoo as number 2, Twitter is more popular than MySpace and LinkedIn is in the Top Forty. Does anyone wonder if Social Networking is a Force! Here are Alexa stats on the site rank and links count to Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, MySpace, Wordpress, LinkedIn, Xing and Plaxo. They are both interesting and tell you a little about what the trends are relative to Social Networking for your business (corporate or personal).
